Main Functions and Running Costs Sometimes it can be confusing and difficult to understand what running costs are involved and exactly what functions you get for your money. So I will try to explain in more detail. The PAT contains a PAYG SIM card. Option 1 You can obtain the current position of The PAT by sending an SMS (your usual network charges apply) The PAT will then send an sms to your phone with the position co-ordinates within the sms (cost = £0.04) which you then enter into google maps etc. You can request The PAT to send you a position by sms at regular intervals. You can set up a temporary geofence around The PAT. This can be activated either by sending an sms or by pressing a button on The PAT. When breached you will be alterted by sms. The PAT will alert you by sms when the battery requires recharging Any sms sent to you from The PAT will cost £0.04 Summary Cost of The PAT £145.00 (includes charger and neoprene pouch) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Option 2 With this option, it addition to the above, you have the ability to send the position via GPRS to our servers/web panel as well as many other enhanced features. You can login to your secure panel and track via street level map - no manual input of co-ordinates Cost of sending a position by GPRS is fair cheaper than by sms at only £1 per 100 position updates. GPRS can be switched on and off via sms. Multiple geofences can be set up at no extra cost. Alerts can be sent when the geofence is breached (either by entering or leaving).
